JiT ("we", "our", or "us") operates the JiT Driver mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our application and services.

By using the JiT Driver app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information We Collect

• Vehicle information: Vehicle type and registration plate number
• Document information: Driver's licence image, vehicle insurance document
• Location data: Real-time GPS location while you are online and active on the platform
• Usage data: App interactions, delivery history, earnings records, acceptance rate, and ratings
• Video recordings: Pickup and delivery videos recorded as proof of delivery
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify your identity and eligibility to operate as a JiT driver
• Match you with nearby delivery requests
• Track your location during active deliveries
• Process and record your earnings and weekly payouts
• Maintain video evidence for fraud prevention and dispute resolution
• Monitor your performance rating and eligibility for bonuses
• Communicate with you about your account, deliveries, and platform updates
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Location Data

We collect your precise GPS location when you are online on the JiT platform. This location data is used to match you with nearby orders and to display your position to our operations team. We do not collect location data when you are offline or not using the app.

You can stop location collection at any time by going offline in the app or revoking location permissions in your device settings. Note that revoking location permissions will prevent you from receiving delivery requests.

4. Video Recordings

As part of our proof-of-delivery system, you are required to record short videos at pickup and delivery points. These videos are stored securely on our servers and are used exclusively for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and quality assurance purposes. Videos may be reviewed by JiT staff in the event of a complaint or investigation.

5. Document Storage

Your driver's licence and insurance documents are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of verifying your eligibility to drive with JiT. These documents are reviewed by our approvals team and are not shared with third parties except where required by law.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform, including cloud storage and payment processing, under strict data processing agreements
• Law enforcement: Where required by applicable law or legal process
• Stores and merchants: Limited information (such as your name and driver barcode) shared with store partners solely for the purpose of completing your delivery

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. Delivery videos may be retained for up to 90 days following delivery for fraud prevention purposes.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
• Object to processing of your data
• Request restriction of processing
• Data portability

9. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) and stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised JiT staff only.

10. Children's Privacy

The JiT Driver app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
